Even Aussie rock ‘n roll stars have joint replacements...

Graham “Buzz” Bidstrup, founding member of iconic Aussie bands GANGgajang, The Party Boys and drummer for The Angels first four albums recently underwent a total knee replacement on his famous kick drum leg... "After playing drums for over 50 years I must have hit that kick pedal millions of times by now and my knee just wore out" said Buzz.

Buzz’s rehabilitation with Mt Wilga began as an inpatient with medical and nursing care, as well as physio and occupational therapy, to get him back on his feet to safely return home. Today he attends our day program to help strengthen his joint and improve his mobility. With the help of his exercise physiologist Sophie and physio Anna, Buzz says “thanks to the wonderful staff here at Mt Wilga, I'll soon be laying down beats again for your dancing pleasure".
