Dr Acar is a Rehabilitation Medicine Physician who has worked primarily in hospital settings, providing guidance and support to both inpatient and outpatient multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs.
One of Dr Acar’s key areas of interest lies in complex rehabilitation, particularly in the areas of neurological conditions, amputees, persistent pain management, postoperative pain, complex arthroplasty, and geriatric rehabilitation. His focus is on helping patients navigate the challenges associated with their functional limitations and guiding them towards a better quality of life.
Dr Acar has developed a deep understanding of traumatic brain injuries, functional neurological disorders, paraplegia, multi-trauma, motor accident and work injury rehabilitation. He enjoys supporting individuals transitioning from acute hospitalisation to the community. One of Dr Acar’s greatest strengths as a physician is his exceptional communication style, his patient centred approach, and his development of personalised treatment plans which allow him to build strong and trusting relationships with his patients.
Outside of his professional life, Dr Acar is a firm believer in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. He has a range of interests and hobbies that keep him grounded and engaged and he nurtures family relationships and pursues activities beyond work. In doing this he brings a refreshed and energised perspective to his practice.
