History of Mt Wilga Private Hospital

Up until the late 1970s, Mt Wilga was run as a Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service.

Since reopening as a private hospital in 1987, Mt Wilga Private Hospital has developed a reputation for providing quality rehabilitation services to the local community as well as the broader health needs of NSW and beyond.

In July 2001, Mt Wilga Private Hospital joined the Ramsay Health Care group. Mt Wilga Private Hospital is now part of a large group of hospitals providing private health services across the nation.

In 2005 Mt Wilga underwent a major redevelopment, building a new ward block with therapy areas and the renovation of existing therapy areas.
